Bony Ramirez listed in The Artsy Vanguard 2021

Bony Ramirez is recognized in The Artsy Vanguard 2021, an annual feature presented by Artsy recognizing the most promising artists working today.

This fourth edition of The Artsy Vanguard is also presented in an in-person exhibition in Miami featuring 20 works by the selected artists, curated by Erin Jenoa Gilbert.

Bradley Ertaskiran presented Bony Ramirez’s paintings at NADA Miami alongside new and recent works by Stephanie Temma Hier, Preston Pavlis and Janet Werner (December 1 to 4, 2021).

Veronika Pausova’s solo exhibition at the Esker Foundation

Bradley Ertaskiran is happy to highlight Veronika Pausova’s solo exhibition at the Esker Foundation (Calgary, CA), which will take place from January 22 to June 25, 2022. This exhibition represents the first institutional North American solo from the artist, and will feature paintings which deftly intertwine figurative elements with surreal abstraction and graphic surface detail.

Joseph Tisiga, recipient of Yukon Prize for Visual Arts 2021

Bradley Ertaskiran is thrilled to announce Joseph Tisiga’s reception of the Yukon Prize for Visual Arts, a prestigious award recognizing excellence by Yukon visual artists.

In its inaugural year, the Yukon Prize is a biennial event awarding one artist a cash prize with the aim of supporting and promoting Yukon visual arts across Canada.

The six finalists were selected by an independent jury composed of arts professionals Gaëtane Verna, Ryan Doherty and Candice Hopkins.

Janet Werner, Prix Louis-Comtois finalist

Bradley Ertaskiran is thrilled to announce Janet Werner’s nomination to the Prix Louis-Comtois.

A jury composed of professionals visual artists selected Janet Werner, Nadia Myre and Skawennati for this award dedicated to mid-career contemporary artists.

The winner will be announced at a ceremony on Friday, November 26 at 8 p.m. at Papier Art Fair.

In addition, this year, art lovers will be able to discover and admire the work of the three finalists at the fair. Their works will be exhibited in a booth dedicated to this award, from November 26 to 28 at the Grand Quay, Port of Montreal.

Dawit L. Petros shortlisted for The Norval Sovereign African Art Prize 2022

Dawit L. Petros is shortlisted for The Norval Sovereign African Art Prize 2022, an annual award for contemporary artists from Africa and its diaspora.

Inaugurated in 2021, The Norval Sovereign African Art Prize celebrates the practices of leading contemporary artists by increasing their exposure to international audiences. 

Dawit L. Petros was among 30 shortlisted artists, originating from 18 countries. The shortlisted artworks will be presented to the public in a Finalists Exhibition at Norval Foundation from January 26 to February 28, 2022.

The MSU Broad Museum acquires two works by Joseph Tisiga

Bradley Ertaskiran is pleased to announce the acquisition of two Joseph Tisiga watercolours by The Eli and Edythe Broad Art Museum at Michigan State University: Simulations of healing might become healing (2020) and … but when I arrived I had something to do … (2020).

The artist will be presenting a solo exhibition at the MSU Broad Museum in January 2022, under the direction of Georgia Erger and Steven L. Bridges.
