Congratulations to Dawit L. Petros, recipient of the 15th annual Scotiabank Photography Award.

The Scotiabank Photography Award recognizes artists whose work exemplifies the power of photography as a medium for critical inquiry and profound storytelling.

As winner of the prestigious Award, Petros will receive a $50,000 cash prize, a solo Primary Exhibition at The Image Centre, and a published book of his work distributed worldwide by renowned art book publisher, Steidl.

Bradley Ertaskiran is pleased to highlight a major solo exhibition by Erin Shirreff, currently on view at the Milwaukee Art Museum through September 1, 2025.

Erin Shirreff creates transdisciplinary works that explore the gap between images and the objects they represent. Erin Shirreff: Permanent Drafts brings together more than 40 recent works—including collages, photographs, sculptures, and videos—as well as installations conceived specifically for the Milwaukee Art Museum.

We are thrilled to announce Dawit L. Petros’s recent institutional acquisition.

Following his solo exhibition at the Museum of Contemporary Photography at Columbia College Chicago, several of his works are now part of the museum’s permanent collection: A Constant Re-telling of the Future in the Past (Part III) (2024); Untitled (Epilogues, X), Northerly Island, Chicago (2024); Untitled (Epilogues, XII), Northerly Island, Chicago (2024); and Between Departures, Returns and Excesses of Image, Part I (2021).
