Erin Shirreff received a BFA in Visual Arts from the University of Victoria (1998) and an MFA in sculpture from the Yale University School of Art in New Haven, Connecticut (2005). Her work was recently featured in solo exhibitions at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (2019); Sikkema Jenkins & Co., New York (2018); Kunsthalle Basel (2016); and in a survey exhibition of photographs, sculpture, and video co-curated by the Institute of Contemporary Art, Boston, and the Albright-Knox Art Gallery (2015-16). Recent group shows include Hinge Pictures, Contemporary Arts Center, New Orleans (2019); Le lieu du film, Kanal – Centre Pompidou, Brussels (2018); Slow Objects, The Common Guild, Glasgow (2017); Photography Today: Distant Realities, Pinakothek der Moderne, Munich (2016); L’image volée, Fondazione Prada, Milan (2016); and Photo-Poetics: An Anthology, Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, New York (2015). Her work is in the permanent collections of the Centre Pompidou, Paris; LACMA, Los Angeles; The Museum of Modern Art, New York; and the Art Gallery of Ontario, among others.
