Dawit L. Petros Participating in the Liverpool Biennial 2025

Bradley Ertaskiran is pleased to announce Dawit L. Petros’s participation in the 13th edition of the Liverpool Biennial, taking place June 7 to September 14, 2025, curated by Marie-Anne McQuay.

The Liverpool Biennial is the largest festival of contemporary art in the United Kingdom, showcasing international artists through a curated programme of exhibitions and public art projects. For this edition of the Liverpool Biennial, Petros debuts a new installation, As the Nile Flows or the Camel Walks, at the historic Hornby Library. An exploration of imperial archives, the work engages with this year’s themes of belonging, inheritance, and the enduring legacies of colonialism.

Congratulations to Dawit L. Petros, recipient of the 15th annual Scotiabank Photography Award.

The Scotiabank Photography Award recognizes artists whose work exemplifies the power of photography as a medium for critical inquiry and profound storytelling.

As winner of the prestigious Award, Petros will receive a $50,000 cash prize, a solo Primary Exhibition at The Image Centre, and a published book of his work distributed worldwide by renowned art book publisher, Steidl.

Erin Shirreff, solo exhibition at the Milwaukee Art Museum

Bradley Ertaskiran is pleased to highlight a major solo exhibition by Erin Shirreff, currently on view at the Milwaukee Art Museum through September 1, 2025.

Erin Shirreff creates transdisciplinary works that explore the gap between images and the objects they represent. Erin Shirreff: Permanent Drafts brings together more than 40 recent works—including collages, photographs, sculptures, and videos—as well as installations conceived specifically for the Milwaukee Art Museum.

Joseph Tisiga artwork acquired by the Musée national des beaux-arts du Québec

We are thrilled to announce Joseph Tisiga’s recent institutional acquisition.

His artwork, The Benevolence of Nomadic Ancestors: 3 Masks, 3 Maps, 2 Camps (Map 2 of 3) (2019), is now part of the permanent collection of the Musée national des beaux-arts du Québec (Quebec City).
