Erin Shirreff

Biography

Erin Shirreff holds a BFA in Visual Arts from the University of Victoria (1998) and an MFA in Sculpture from Yale University (2005). Her work was featured in solo exhibitions at SITE Santa Fe (2024), the Clark Art Institute, Williamstown (2021-22), the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (2019), Kunsthalle Basel (2016), the Albright-Knox Art Gallery, Buffalo (2016), Bradley Ertaskiran, Montreal (2022), and the Institute of Contemporary Art, Boston (2015), with an upcoming solo at the Milwaukee Art Museum (2025). She took part in recent group exhibitions at MUMOK Vienna (2024), the Yale University Art Gallery, New Haven (2021), Musée d’art contemporain, Montreal (2020), Contemporary Arts Center, New Orleans (2019), KANAL – Centre Pompidou, Brussels (2018), The Common Guild, Glasgow (2017), Fondazione Prada, Milan (2016), and the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, New York (2015). Shirreff’s work is in the permanent collections of the Art Gallery of Ontario (Toronto), the Centre Pompidou (Paris), the Dallas Museum of Art (Dallas), LACMA (Los Angeles), the Metropolitan Museum of Art (New York), the Musée d’art contemporain (Montréal), the Museum of Contemporary Art (Chicago), the Museum of Modern Art (New York), the National Gallery of Canada (Ottawa), the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum (New York), and the Yale University Art Gallery (New Haven).
