Biography

Chantal Khoury (b. New Brunswick, Canada) lives and works in Montreal. She understands her material as part of the global legacy of painting, informed by research that unravels Western myths embedded in art history. She holds an MFA from the University of Guelph and a BFA from Concordia University. Solo exhibitions include presentations at Nicodim Gallery (New York & Los Angeles), McClure Gallery (Montreal), Birch Contemporary (Toronto), Beaverbrook Art Gallery (Fredericton), and the University of New Brunswick (Fredericton). Group exhibitions have been staged in Dallas, Bucharest, Stockholm, and Amsterdam. Her work is part of the permanent collections of the Artistic Museum of Contemporary Art Wales, the Art Gallery of Guelph, the University of Toronto, the University of New Brunswick, the Global Affairs Art Collection of Canada, and the RBC Art Collection.
